New Zealand Citizenship!

I just heard back from the New Zealand Citizenship Office. Guess what?

As of now, I am officially a New Zealand citizen.

Oh yeah.

Who’s a kiwi? Oh that’s right – I am.

I got the citizenship by descent through my Dad (he was born in Waimate on the South Island), and even though the process took a while, I’m beyond stoked about it. As soon as I get a passport I’ll post my sweet New Zealand passport photos.

Man…so excited.

  1. Gidday Bro!!!
The old man was born in DUNEDIN!!
You are now officially an honorary AUSSIE. You can now live here as a citizen. CONGRATULATIONS

  2. How does being born in Dunedin make you an honorary AUSSIE?????????????? He is a citizen of NEW ZEALAND, there is a difference!!!!!!!!!!!! A KIWI, proud of you Shawn, congratulations xx. Michelle.

  3. I was born in NZ but smart enough to leave and settle in AUSSIE! Cold old Kiwi land, a good place to holiday in!

No more Rugby the MOST BORING game ever invented. Thank God they dont play it in Victoria. Michelle you should come and visit and Shawn does have equal rights to live over the ditch. You are welcome here Shawn. We are not bigoted like the Kiwis!

  4. And your little sister will soon join you as a kiwi :) I just have a few setbacks to deal with in the application process. Kia ora!

  5. Hahaha, I LOVE it guys! I'm a Kiwi for ten minutes and I'm already embroiled in the Aussie vs. Kiwi struggle. Good stuff.

Either way, I'm so proud to be a kiwi at last and I love that I can head over to Australia as well.

Uncle Tony, I hope I'll be seeing you this Christmas if everything goes according to plan. I had such a great time last time in Melbourne, and I'm looking forward to some more prawns.

Cheers to both of you, Tony and Michelle. I'm so stoked!

Keep at it Cherise, you'll get it.

  6. I'm beached bro. Beached as!
